'Pinion Revived' is the flight feather of a bird's wing. From one side the sculpture has transparent color that contrasts the sky. The other side is stainless steel which reflects the bay, the cloud and the seabirds. “Pinion Revived” is made of stainless steel and is kinetic, standing about 18 feet tall. It originated as “Pinion” in 2009 was commissioned by the Port of San Diego for Urban Trees exhibit. The piece went through some changes and was revived and now is “Pinion Revived”. It stands about 18 feet tall. It is currently on exhibit in Solana Beach,California.
