IRE Development commissioned the infusion of artistic elements into their commercia endeavor. Michael Vogt, the visionary founder of IRE Development, aspired to pay homage to the legacy of Abe Simkin. Renowned for his decades-long contributions as the founder of Otay International Center (OIC) in Otay Mesa, Simkin's influence inspired the project.

The design concept for ‘OIC’ seamlessly integrates the global essence with the identity of Otay International Center. Crafted from stainless steel, the central elements intricately form the acronym "OIC," adorned with a distinctive brown patina finish that encapsulates the spirit of Otay International Center. The globe, meticulously fashioned from precision - bent stainless steel tubing, serves as a symbolic representation of the project's global aspirations.
