Antimony by Jon Koehler is a study in balance, contrast, and relational harmony. Part of the Profile Series, this stainless steel silhouette sculpture presents a couple in elegant profile, their forms reduced to flowing, harmonious contours that suggest intimacy without excess.
Each figure is composed of rotating elements that move a full 360 degrees, allowing the silhouettes to subtly gesture toward one another. With each adjustment, the relationship between the two evolves—moments of closeness, distance, and dialogue unfolding through motion and form.
The contrasting finishes heighten this quiet exchange: the male figure rendered in mirror-polished stainless steel, reflecting its surroundings with clarity and strength, while the female figure is finished in a soft brushed stainless, absorbing light with a calm, understated presence.
Together, these opposing surfaces create a visual and emotional equilibrium. Antimony becomes a sculptural meditation on duality—reflection and restraint, individuality and unity—captured in a timeless, contemporary expression of connection.
